upcoming bollywood movies

Here is a list of upcoming Bollywood movies in 2022, along with their release dates and trailers. Because it is dependent on censor certification, this list is subject to change. We also discuss the most recent Bollywood films that have already been released in 2022 and new movies that are set to be released this week.

  1. Badhaai Do

Overall, Badhaai Do is a well-made, bold, class-appealing film that will play only in a few select theaters and high-end single-screen cinemas in major cities. However, it will not have universal appeal because India is not yet prepared to deal with such subjects in the mainstream film domain. The most notable aspects of the film are its casting (by Shiv Chauhan and Ashish Khare), sympathetic treatment, genuine characters, and superb performances. However, the very controversial subject matter will severely limit its reach.

At odds with the last picture, Badhaai Ho, which Akshat also wrote, is inconsistent in terms of chuckles and emotions. Aside from Sheeba’s persona, the other members of the family Badhaai Do, cannot complete this reconciliation. However, it is not entirely toothless. The film advocates for tolerance and acceptance of all people, regardless of their background, which is always a pleasant message to receive.

  1. Gangubai Kathiawadi

In 2022, the release date of Gangubai Kathiawadi, a Hindi film, has been set for February 25th. Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Vijay Raaz, and Seema Bhargava will star in the movie directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and will be released on December 14. Others who have been cast in Gangubai Kathiawadi include Shantanu Maheshwari and Jim Sarbh, who are well-known in the industry.

In the novel Mafia Queens of Mumbai by S. Hussain Zaidi, the character Gangubai Kathiawad is based on the life of a genuine sex worker, and the film Gangubai Kathiawad roughly follows her journey. Her suitor sells her into prostitution, and the story centers on Ganga (Alia Bhatt), a young girl sold into prostitution. Throughout the story, she establishes herself as a significant person in the underworld and as a well-known madam of her brother in Mumbai’s Kamathipua red-light district.

  1. Gehraiyaan

In general, Gehraiyaan is aimed towards teenagers and young adults, particularly millennials. It is beautiful that the picture has had its world premiere on an OTT platform since it is, in every respect, a film made for the digital medium in which it was released. Of course, the traditional audience will not receive the film well.

Gehraiyaan is a smarty-pants, lathery relationship drama under the illusion that it is giving the genre a significant makeover. In this way, it is similar to the leased boat on which many of the film’s crucial sequences occur: it is full of smarty-pants, lathery relationship drama. Despite all of its flashy flourishes, the picture is a complete mess.

  1. Love Hostel

Set against the pulsing background of rural North India, Love Hostel is a survival story that follows the tumultuous path of a feisty young couple who are determined to take on the whole world.

As a result of their involvement in the game of power, money, and principles, their fairytale dream comes to an end, with chaos and carnage ensuing due to their pursuit by a ruthless mercenary.

  1. Jersey

A Hindi film directed by Shahid Kapoor and starring Mrunal Thakur in the critical parts, Jersey 2021, is set in 2021. Gowtham Tinnanuri is in charge of the direction of Jersey. Nani and Shraddha Srinath feature in the Telugu version of the hit film Jersey, first released in English. The plot revolves around a thirty-six-year-old cricketer who retired from the sport ten years ago and is again aspiring to compete for the Indian national squad.

Jersey, a forthcoming Hindi sports drama, is an official replica of the Telugu film of the same name, which is now under production. Former cricketer Shahid Kapoor (Shahid Kapoor) chooses to make a comeback in his 30s to fulfill his son’s ambition of owning a cricket shirt by returning to the game.

  1. Jhund

The film is based on the life of Vijay Barse (Amitabh Bachchan), the founder of the non-governmental organization Slum Soccer. The organization encourages street children to participate in soccer and assists them in staying away from drugs and other criminal activity. Building self-sufficient communities are the goal of Slum Soccer, which attempts to provide long-term solutions to the problem of widespread homelessness and to improve living conditions in poor regions.

  1. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2

This forthcoming Bollywood film, the sequel to Priyardarshan’s superhit horror comedy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, is set in the same world as the first film (2007). The original film had Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, and Shiny Ahuja in the key roles, and it was a critical and commercial success at its release. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a film directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by T Series and Cine1 Studios. It is the sequel to Bhool Bhulaiyaa. It is anticipated that the film will be a blend of humor, horror, and mystery.

  1. Bachchan Pandey

It is partially inspired by the Tamil film Veeram (2014), in which honest guy resorts to violence to take down his father-in-law. Bachchan Pandey is an action-comedy with a comedic twist. Aspiring film director and journalist Kriti Sanon will appear in the film, star Akshay Kumar as a thug who dreams of becoming an actor, and Kriti Sanon as a journalist who dreams of becoming a filmmaker.

Bachchan Pandey is a Hindi film in which Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon feature as the main characters. A remake of the 2014 film Veeram, in which a good-hearted peasant battles his fiancee’s father’s adversaries to protect their family, Bachchan Pandey follows a similar premise.

  1. Radhe Shyam

Radhe Shyam is primarily a romantic period drama film written and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, who also stars. The story takes place in 1970s Europe, and the movie was filmed in both Telugu and Hindi at the same time. This film was created under the auspices of T-Series and UV Creations, while the Hindi version was marketed by AA Films, which also produced the English version. Now, let’s have a look at the movie trailer.

Pooja Hegde and Prabhas play Prerana, Vikramaditya, and Paramahamsa, respectively, with Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Bhagyashree, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Priyadarshi, Sasha Chettri, and Sathyan Sivakumar serving as supporting roles.

  1. Laal Singh Chaddha

As previously stated, Laal Singh Chaddha is an official replication of the Academy Award-winning American drama Forrest Gump (1994), which was, in turn, an adaptation of Winston Groom’s 1986 book of the same name.

The film tells the tale of the most significant events in Indian history through the eyes of Laal Singh Chadha (Aamir Khan), an autistic man who experiences emotions on a broad range of emotions.

The Emergency, the 1983 Cricket World Cup, Operation Blue Star, the Rath Yatra, and the 1999 Kargil War are just a few of the historical events shown on the silver screen in this film. The film Laal Singh Chadha was filmed in more than a hundred locations around India, and it is said to have a cameo appearance by Shah Rukh Khan.
