Xiaomi will launch it’s first smartphone POCO F1 under its sun-brand Poco on August 22 in India. The launch date of Poco F1 was revealed by Poco India’s official Twitter account. Exact key specifications of this smartphone are still not known but some previous leaks give a hint about its design and some specifications.
Xiaomi’s Lead Product Manager Jai Mani will host a event in New Delhi to announce a formal launch. According to him, the sub-brand is all about making a powerful smartphone with the technologies that truly matter. Poco F1 is expected to have a powerful hardware as it is branded as “Master of Speed” in the teased poster.
Poco has indicated that its debut phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor. So, it is expected that Poco F1 will features Snapdragon 845 with liquid cooling technology and may come with 6GB or 8GB RAM. It will have a top-notch design housing a 20MP selfie camera.
It is rumored that it will boast a 6.18 inch FHD+ display with an 18:7:9 aspect ratio. The leaked design also suggest that it will have a dual rear camera set up with 12MP+5MP resolution and fingerprint sensor. As far as the battery is concerned, it may have 4000mAh battery. The price of this device is expected to be around $400 as Xiaomi will likely to position Poco F1 as an affordable premium smartphone.
