flagship

A new flagship? Although the withdrawal from market of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, rumors state that the South Korean giant could take the possibility of abandoning the development of the Note line, in the last few weeks the rumors had meant the exact opposite.

Indirect acknowledgment comes from Samsung, which during the presentation of financial results for the first quarter (Q1) of 2017, said that a new flagship will be introduced in the second half of the year.

No names have been made, but it is inevitable to think that Samsung Galaxy Note 8 could inherit, enhancing, some of the distinctive features of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus.

The fact that Samsung plans to market refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note 7, offering them a smaller battery and offering them at a reduced price, seems to confirm the will of the manufacturer to keep the Note line (going in contrast with rumors), which has gained enormous success among professionals and among consumer users too.

It would be really odd if they will stop producing the Note line, since Samsung got a lot of success with it troughout the years. We can think to their first success in the Notes, the great Note 2, with its amazing battery life.

So, we hope that they will keep the production, but focusing on both hardware and software optimization. In this way, Samsung will live another florish and proficuous period.

The stage for the presentation of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 or, as it will be called the new flagship, could be IFA 2017, as the executive director of the German Kenshe Jens Heithecker hopes.

May be they will do in this way, so that they’ll compensate the absence of Samsung Galaxy S8 at Mobile World Congress 2017 (MWC).

Samsung has to be really carefull with its choices and to work hard, since it has to re-obtain users trust in its products.
