Elephone has recently announced its two flagships called Elephone U2 and Elephone U2 Pro. The main focus is their pop-up camera which provide room for display to stretch all over the front which looks beautiful and give it a classy look. Design & Display
Elephone U2 has a sleek design and is available in Black and Red colors. It has a metal frame with front glass. It has all screen display with no bezels just a small chin at bottom where sensors are placed.
Elephone U2 has pop-up front camera with flash. At rear triple camera are placed along with a dual LED flash and a fingerprint sensor. U2 Pro has a similar design with a slightly bigger display and here dual rear camera is also pop-up type. It is available in Black and Blue color.
Now coming to the display U2 and U2 pro differ in size as well as quality. U2 boasts 6.26 inch IPS display with 1080 x 2340 pixel resolution and 412ppi pixel density. The capacitive display supports multi touch and 2.5D Curved Glass for toughened edges. While U2 Pro has 6.42 inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2340 pixel resolution and 401ppi pixel density. The AMOLED display of U2 Pro is a delight to eyes with brighter colors and darker black. It will definitely give competition to flagship devices.
Hardware & Software
The hardware and software part of both the devices are same with same memory capacity. Both U2 and U2 Pro comes with MediaTek Helio P60 under the hood and its 8 cores clocking at 2GHz frequency. The processor is coupled with huge 6GB of RAM and 128GB ROM provides more than enough room for all apps, games, media etc. The hardware is impressive which offers a smooth and fast operation.
It runs on latest Android 9.0 Pie which is cherry on the cake. It is very energy efficient and offers a lag free performance. So, you don’t have to worry about performance on both of these devices.
Camera
U2 is equipped with three rear cameras along with a dual LED flash which are lined at the top right corner vertically. The main camera is 12MP along with 5MP depth sensor and a 2MP snapper for wide angled shots. The pop-up front camera has 16MP resolution and is paired with flash for amazing selfies even in dark. The front camera is also used for face unlock.
U2 Pro has got triple cameras two rear cameras and a selfie snapper. All the cameras are pop-up so at front you get an eye-catching display and a smooth and glossy back with no bumps. Battery
Elephone U2 Pro has 3600mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charge support. The battery seems low considering the big 6.42 inch display but the AMOLED technology and Android 9.0 can manage battery efficiently.
While U2 has 4000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. It also supports fast charge and it will easily last you whole day with single charge.
Prices & Availability
