We also took a quick look at some of the reputed robovacs and some quick hacks to choose the ones that suit your requirements. Strengths: It has a very powerful suction and yields great results. Its strongest forte is cleaning the carpets deeply off the dust and pet hair. Another master stroke is its high performance Lithium-Ion battery. It can smoothly transit between uneven surfaces. It also prevents from getting entangled. Its brush-less technology facilitates a relatively quiet cleaning. It has a mini-room mode which teaches the robovac to save more energy while cleaning small rooms. It is equipped with a remote control. It also includes a spare filter. These accessories are easily replaceable.

Flaws: But, it comes with its own set of flaws. Firstly, it doesn’t have a height sensor and often gets stuck. It doesn’t have a memory and hence ends up mopping same area repeatedly. It is not Wi-Fi enabled. Also, it sometimes gobbles up cords, toys and almost anything that comes in its way.

It is comfortably maneuverable on all types of floors and has sharp set of sensors. Since it is quite a smart robovac, it cleans up really fast and nice. Once charged, it works for around 2 hours.

Flaws: It carries the same flaw of being unable to handle path-obstructing stuff like cords and toys. It puts up a poor show while cleaning thick carpets. Almost all users have complained that it gets stuck the moment it hits any small obstacle. Also, emptying and cleaning the dust bin is quite painful. Though the maneuvering on same level floors is smooth, it cannot change surfaces that smoothly.

It is comparatively smarter at dealing obstructions that come its way, thus giving it a longer life.

Flaws: It sometimes loses the track and the remote control is not enabled to call it back to a particular location. The high-power suction is said to do a great job on wooden floors and not on carpets. It doesn’t work well on wet surfaces. Remote control is quite elementary.

Flaws: The transition from floor to carpet is not smooth. It is louder than other robovacs. The battery life is quite short. It doesn’t have a height sensor and thus, gets stuck under the furniture. It cannot function well on thick carpets / rugs. Users have defined it as more of a “sweeper” than “vacuum cleaner”.

Flaws: This requires a special CR2932 watch battery. Unlike other robovacs, this doesn’t return to its dock once discharged and hence needs some amount of manual intervention. This robovac fails to work on thick rugs or carpets. It does not navigate well in a room full of obstructions. It doesn’t locate dirt properly and is hasty in its job. The appearance is a little flashy.

This robovac is famously described as the “Quiet & Intelligent” cleaner.

Flaws: Some users have complained that transitioning from floor to carpet is not hassle-free. It is not ideal for bigger houses. The brushes wear out pretty quickly. This one is said to have a short life. It needs a lot of human intervention while cleaning.

Flaws: Not very user-friendly. It sometimes cleans the same room over and over again. It is quite heavy. It is also a little poor at transitioning from places. It doesn’t work well on carpets. It needs frequent cleaning. As the battery gets lower, the efficiency of this robovac falls drastically.

Strengths: It is extremely swift at picking up dirt. It doesn’t have a dustbin, the dust tray can be emptied directly. It is efficient on tiles, pet hair and even sand. It is a quiet companion. You can create virtual walls to define its path. It is not prone to getting tangled.

Flaws: It gets muddled up in clothes and towels.  It doesn’t clean the carpets deeply. Some users do complain about its tendency to get hassled by obstructions.

This robovac is made-for-all kind of a cleaner with multi-cleaning modes.

Its wheels are self-adjusting and will change paths automatically if they bump into some obstacle.

Flaws: Its brushes get messy and tangled at times. It cannot perform well on thick carpets or rugs. It takes some time to return to the charging point. It is quite loud while working.
