Google has been testing the beta version of Android P since May and now has finally launched it officially and named the upgraded version Android 9 Pie. The first public version of this software is now available to download on Google Pixel phones and by the autumn it will be rolled out for other devices too.
In this latest software Google has focused more on the use of artificial intelligence and ‘digital well-being’ to make your digital life easier as well as better. It also comes with a new Android Dashboard which lets users monitor their usage, time spent on apps etc. Also it uses AI to squeeze out the best out of your smartphone, with it your phone can actually learn your usage pattern and adapt them.
Currently, Android Pie is available to download on Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL with a download size of 1173.0 MB which is around 1.173GB. According to Google, the companies which were part of its Android P Beta program namely Sony Mobile, Xiaomi, HMD Global, Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus, Essential and all Android One devices will get this update by end of this fall. The devices include Nokia 7 Plus, OnePlus 6, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, Sony Xperia XZ2, Oppo R15 Pro, Vivo X21 and Essential PH1. Google also added that that all phones with Android One branding will get this update too by the end of fall which include all HMD Global Nokia Phones, Xiaomi Mi A2 and Moto G6 as well.
