AGM-X3

AGM is a Chinese company which owns patents on rugged designs and all AGM smartphones can meet IP68/MIL-STD-810 standard. High-volume battery is another feature in which this Chinese brand specializes. AGM X3 is one such device announced by the brand but here you are getting Snapdragon 845 chip, which is currently present in just few top-notch smartphones.

To make X3 look different from its predecessors, it has been given a light-weight design and thinner bezels which will be a good plus point. Now, let us take a look on its specifications in detail without any delay.

Design & Appearance:

AGM X3 is designed primarily for professionals working in harsh environments and outdoors. As most of the rugged smartphones X3 looks sturdy and solid at first glance. But unlike its predecessors X1 and X2 it has a slightly thin design and is lightweight as well. AGM has tried to incorporate thinner bezels in this flagship smartphone. It has an octagonal kind of shape as the corners are slightly crooked and we can see its traditional bolted design here as well. It is available in black color only and built with aluminum alloy and plastic body to keep it light-weight.

The device is IP68 certified which means it is water resistant as well as dust resistant and its screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which makes it scratch resistant as well.

The top-bezel at the front houses a selfie snapper, earpiece as well as sensors while the bottom bezel is left plain as it will utilize on-screen buttons instead of capacitive ones. When we flip it, we see dual cameras resting horizontally at the top left corners paired with a dual LED flash. The sides of this device has some red accent buttons functions of which are still unknown.

Overall, X3 has got a very Impressive design in spite of it’s Rugged nature

X3 boasts an amazing 5.99 inch AMOLED IPS display with a pixel resolution of 2160 x 1080p. Its FHD+ bezel-less display with 403ppi pixel density will offer you a stunning images and will make playing games or watching movies more fun. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and also supports multi-touch.

Qualcomm-Snapdragon-845-Opt

AGM has fueled its X3 with the latest Snapdragon 845 SoC making it world’s first rugged phone with the above chip. The chip is engineered with Kryo 385 CPU clocking at 2.8 GHz speed. It is 25% more powerful when compared to formar Snapdragon 835. The SoC is equipped with either 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X Quad channel RAM with a speed of 1866 MHz. Use of the above SoC makes our X3 a powerful and smart personal assistant with a vault-like security.

You get two storage options here ie. 64GB & 128GB which can be further expanded according to your needs.

X3 is available in two storage options 6GB/64GB & 8GB/128GB

Software:

For software part it relies on the sweetest cookie of the world, that is Android 8.1 Oreo which is faster, smarter and power efficient with simple user interface. Again the performance part of this device is a big thumbs up.

Camera:

AGM X3 Camera Review

X3 will be your perfect photography partner as it comes equipped with high-quality triple cameras!!. Its 24MP CMOS primary camera along with a 12MP secondary camera provides a DSLR-like performance. The rear camera set up is paired with a dual LED flash enhancing its low-light performance. You can record 4K videos at 30 fps giving you a more professional experience.

For selfie lovers this device has come along with a 20MP snapper at front side. Imaging capabilities of this flagship smartphone again impresses us again.

Sensors:

Security is a very crucial feature when it comes to smartphones and AGM has not compromised on that. You get Face ID as well as Fingerprint Sensor in X3 ensuring complete safety. Both the sensors works very well and will unlock your phone in a fraction of a second. Other sensors include Proximity, Light, Gyro, Accelerometer and Compass.

As the specs are not reveled fully, we can still assume that this device will also include company’s signature sensors like air pressure sensor, ambient temperature relative humidity sensor, VOC sensor etc.

AGM X3 supports large number of GSM, CDMA and LTE bands so you won’t face any problem by using it in almost any country.

For Connecting it to networks and pairing it with other devices it has WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and Headphone Jack. It uses USB 2.0 Type-C interface for charging and pairing purposes.

Battery:

AGM has not revealed the battery capacity of X3 but it will for sure support Quick Charge 3.0 and Wireless Charging as well. Considering previous models of AGM smartphones, we can surely say that it will sport a 6000mAh capacity battery or may be more massive.

AGM X3 impresses us with its top-notch specs in a rugged yet elegant body. Be it the ruggedness, SoC, ROM, Camera, Sensors or Battery you are getting more than enough for a mid-range smartphone. The company has surely raised the bars for its competitors by announcing this power-packed smartphone. So, whether buy it or not??. If you are an outdoor person who loves hiking an adventure or you work in harsh environment you can surely go for it without giving a second thought.

  1. It has 4100 mAh battery not 6000 mAh and I heard that they dont update neither provide good support after sales. Is it true?
